About me

    Welcome all, I implore you to look around and see if there is anything of interest to you here... Or not. Before you do that I would like to go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Candace Jackson I am currently residing in the Dominican Republic for the next two or three years for Peace Corps Volunteering. I just began my journey on August 21st and I am super excited and nervous. I am currently trying to finish up my M.A.T in Special Education and when I return... if I return to the States... I will either get a certificate in Autism or try for a Ph.D.

    I am a huge TV junkie but will take any device that will allow Netflix or Hulu. Due to my schedule and my habit of not staying in one place, I haven't had much of a chance to enjoy the big screen, so I have been sticking to the smaller ones (terrible for your eyes by the way). On a regular daily basis, I use my phone for videos, communication, and direction. I would honestly get nowhere without GPS, and I use my laptop for videos, work, and school. I wanted to buy an iPad before coming to the D.R. for convenience and a little safety, but I did not have the means or time.
